  1. I'd swear they're soft blocking them because I can't set the quality above 720p and ytdl keeps reporting 'throttled' for half the formats so I can't even download half the videos to increase that.

  2. Personally, I wish there was a law requiring firmware and drivers to be open source. Operating system, individual programs, sure, close them if you want, but firmware and drivers should be open source. Furthermore, I think there should be an open standard for how drivers should be written because we need x86 and ARM developers to have the same methodology. I, for one, would absolutely buy a piece of hardware that I could plug and play with my Raspberry Pi and desktop computer both, even if it was a $5,000 graphics card.
