Something that people seem to be forgetting is that since a family with children saw her she was very likely to be facing charges that would have had her declared a "sex offender", and as the term is a catch-all for just about every offense they can, even for something so innocent you'd be thought of as a pedophile by the general public. That's the kind of thing that completely ruins your life and many people have committed suicide rather than wind up on that list, and it's nearly always someone who never even touched a child. No matter what you think of people that sexually abuse children, the registry should absolutely not exist and it is completely unconstitutional. If you're so dangerous that you can't be allowed around children then you should be in prison, and if you're out of prison you should be out of prison. We have parole boards for a reason. Staff them with competent and moral people, reform the prisons, both in how they're funded and how they're run, and things will improve.
