  1. I think part of the problem with chip design is far too much focus is spent on making discrete units. All of the square and rectangle sections on a die are inefficient for processing speed. Another part of the problem is flat chips. We should be building up at the same time. Linear design can't get any faster. It's the same type of thinking that brought us a programming language like Java.
