  1. More than an hour, but yeah. Back when my brother was in college we'd regularly make the trip from a small town north of Austin to San Antonio and it took about 2 hours each way. From where we were living at the time it was 4 hours to Dallas and 3 to Houston. Even though I've lived here my whole life it's still a bit mind boggling how huge this state is, and it's not even the largest by land mass. Do you ever watch Daytripper?

  2.  @TheSaltyAdmiral  I guess you'd have to actually visit Texas. Culture can change from night to day from one town to the next, it just depends on whether you see more than just the big cities. You can easily meet people who don't speak the same language as you, even if you're both speaking English. Not everyone here watches TV, nor even necessarily uses money, let alone the same money. And laws are relative in the US, something you should understand if you're European.

  4.  @nogames284  Living somewhere for 7 years isn't the same as actually experiencing it. If you've been working that whole time and not doing any traveling, then you have no clue what cultures exist outside your little bubble.
