This has got to be your scariest video yet. You'd think after all this time they'd go back and dig it up, and either way I sure hope they have someone monitoring that field 24/7/365, though I think we all know they don't. Humanity is doomed.

@dale116dot7 It going off on its own isn't something I'm worried about because if it were going to it would've already. But he also said that they recovered a portion of its detonating core already back then. The thing I'm worried about is some foreign agent embedded in country digging it up and building a suitcase nuke with it, or just as bad a dirty bomb. It's not as though hiding the radiation is terribly difficult if you have access to an underground bunker, and it's not like we had ubiquitous radiation detectors for the majority of the intervening decades. You also don't need a whole lot of expertise to weaponize preexisting refined radioactive material. Especially if it's just as a dirty bomb. The scariest bit would be that they wouldn't need to attempt to sneak it in if it's here already.
