@Vivi_9 Except Israel isn't an oppressor.

@disgruntledparent Their Disney Vault price fixing tactics, which they've had for decades, are why they'll never get money from me. After Captain Marvel and the last two Avengers movies, I won't be seeing any Marvel movies again.

I remember seeing Megan Fox a number of years ago before she got the plastic surgery, and she was genuinely beautiful. The work she had done was not only completely unnecessary but it actually made her look worse. I can only surmise that the reason she felt it necessary was because of her brachydactyl thumbs, and there's no surgery that I know of for that, and even if there is one now there definitely wasn't one back then. I kind of feel sorry for her because it's sad when people feel that they're inferior for something they were born with.

@gravesidepoet5405 A hallucination in a movie. Is that a double negative or a triple positive or something?
12
I'd say the sole qualifier needed is if they're both entertaining. Not being a fan of that particular FF franchise I wouldn't know, but with 9 movies in the bucket and billions in the bank I'm guessing it is.
12
@maxpayne69. The both sides are bad crowd just prove that they're biased towards the left. The right has morals, and you can't just claim to be on the right, you have to demonstrate it. If you act immorally, then you're not on the right, regardless of what you say.
12
@BoozeAholic I forget who did a video on it, but supposedly the last movie had them going to space... in a car. So if that's jumping the shark, it's a really high jump.

@spankynater4242 It's a motivating factor. People fixate on something that is wrong with themselves and if it can't be fixed, which in this case it couldn't, it causes them to shift their focus to other things which surgeries exist for that they falsely believe will be fixed. People can very easily delude themselves into believing that just one more surgery will do it.

Talk about great family communication. "Oh yeah, by the way, your father accidentally chopped off his head, but they were totally able to reattach it and he only has a little bit of damage, such as walking sideways on Tuesdays and doing backflips onto the bed at night."
6
@italianspiderman5012 Yes, it's cultural, and it definitely needs to be fixed, but lacking sympathy for others is a mark of psychopathy.
5
@SolarisKane Nothing's wrong with that. If it entertains you then so be it. Just not my cup of tea.
5
@AB2B That's on my list, but maybe I should move it to the top and watch it next. Have you seen Miss Night and Day or Alchemy of Souls?
4
I'm genuinely surprised to see someone else coming to the right conclusion. I didn't think anyone else recognized the truth of our reality. I'm hoping that more people realize this and join us in fighting back, assuming that you will be fighting back.
4
Well said, even if you're likely a corn-bot. However, I'd also add that movies being pushed to streaming less than a month after release is a huge problem for anyone who would even dream of seeing a movie while it's still in theaters. When I was a kid, a movie would stay in theaters for at least a year, sometimes more, before being pushed out on VHS. Even when DVD's popped up it would still be around a year or so before a movie would be released for home viewing. There were movies that I saw at the dollar cinema like 6 months or more after initial release and now they don't even have dollar cinemas.
4
@cornercomics67 No need to apologize either. I'm not trying to shame you. We all have different reactions based on our life experiences.
4
Come on man, there's no need to insult potatoes.
4
I actually really enjoyed "The Predator", and not merely for Olivia Munn, but because it was genuinely entertaining. A Predator movie with action and comedy can work, if you let it.
4
Wait, you liked the last two Ghostbuster movies?
4
@lunarguardian5523 Pretty, yes, and better cast, but not prettier than Kathryn Newton. I'm probably the only one, but it's kind of a pet peeve of mine when they cast a blonde for a role where they want a brunette and just dye their hair. It's a subtle difference in looks, but because most people can tell it irks them whether they know why or not and sours their opinion of the actor.
3
@Markbell73 I agree with much of that, but I personally hated Infinity War. I'm also assuming when you say they were the best movies that you just mean within the MCU? If that's what you mean then up until Infinity War I agree.
3
@asdgasdf9580 TL;DR: The Health Department is shutting down this restaurant. :))
3
@italianspiderman5012 Ah okay. So you're jealous of her money and therefore you have no sympathy for her. Not all rich people are evil. Just having money isn't a sign of evil. But having no sympathy for someone merely because they have more than you is a sign of evil.
3
@spankynater4242 Lot's of people get brainwashed in one way or another by society at large. None of it is right, but humans are generally weak and unable to resist the corruption affecting them. For what it's worth, she's stated in interviews that she doesn't want to objectify herself and that's why she's never done nudity in a movie and why she's picky about what roles she takes.
3
So you like the garbage that's been put out by Disney lately? If you tell me no, then you're being disingenuous at best and lying at worst. If you say yes then I'll know to immediately disregard your opinion as that of a complete moron. You deserve what you get.
3
The problem I have with movies like this, is that at some old grievances need to be let go. To keep bringing them up over and over again is like continually picking at a scab and preventing it from ever healing properly. It pushes everyone into a they versus them mentality and we can never move on and be better that way. There's no making up for someone being murdered, especially multiple generations later, because the children and grandchildren and even great grandchildren played no part in the events that occurred and shouldn't have to suffer with a punishment they don't deserve for something they likely wouldn't have done were they living in the same time period, and the people who are the descendants of those that were wronged can't be made whole without time travel to correct the mistakes of the past. It's a never ending cycle, if we let it be.
3
I liked all of the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies, but I'm not sure I'd describe the experience in quite that way. For me it'd be Jurassic Park and the Lost World, although I definitely didn't cry. Maybe I'm broken inside, but I can't think of a movie in the past 40 years that emotionally moved me in that way. Although, there have been some Korean TV shows in the past few years that have gotten me pretty close.
3
Do they still press DVD's and/or Blu-Ray's? I haven't bought a physical copy of a movie in a long time.
3
Now you just need funding to put this idea into motion. If you don't get sued for some sort of infringement it'll make billions. I'm not sure what would be the infringement though, as this story is actually good and bears no resemblance to anything Disney has put out regarding Star Wars.
3
I know you think there's middle ground. Many people these days consider themselves centrists while not being anywhere near the center and completely failing to recognize the truth, that there is no center anymore. In truth, most people that call themselves centrists are just leftists who haven't fully lost every brain cell, and the few that are actually on the right are riding the slippery slope. Far too many don't even realize that the slippery slope is real even while all of society is sliding down it into the pit of doom. There are really only a few ways that humanity can survive what's coming, tacit capitulation is not one of those ways to keep humanity alive.
3
Yeah, I agree completely with this analysis. It seems like we had a lot of 3 part movie series' back then and most of them I loved the second more than the first and hated the third. Although, in retrospect, watching some of them as an adult I ended up changing my opinion of them, except for the Mummy series, and Jurassic Park, where I still love the second more than the first and hate the third. An example of what I mean by a changing opinion over time would be TMNT, where I loved the second as a kid and found the third boring, but as an adult I found the second completely juvenile and actually loved the third.
3
Said with so much tongue in cheek that the tongue has poked a hole in the cheek. This is great.
3
@thewilhelmscream7912 If only everyone else would try to follow that last line. Paying for propaganda which is against us in every way is why more of it gets made. Sadly, at least 45% of the world is filled with people that believe it and that's more than enough to prop up the people working so hard to destroy everything.
3
@englishatheart Dodgson, Dodgson, we've got Dodgson here! See? Nobody cares.
2
I've not seen the Rocky movies, but all the rest you mention I agree were good, and I'd even say better than the originals, even if you wouldn't. Predator 2 was one of my favorite movies as a kid, and it especially makes me laugh watching it after 1997.
2
Kind of hard to see it any other way given everything we know has happened and the advocacy groups working on their behalf even now.

@boxtopdollar5870 No one expects studios to always put out something great, but instead to not intentionally put out something they know is bad. If you don't like anything the studios put out now, you are part of the "toxic fandom", at least to the studios. They are either deluded enough to think their garbage is good or they're evil enough to know it's garbage and want to influence society so that it doesn't matter because you'll pay them the rent so they can live in your head. They didn't need to keep beating a dead horse to make money from it, they could've just locked it in their stupid vault for a decade and sell it for full price every time they bring it out.
2
@boxtopdollar5870 It's difficult to say whether it is intentional that the product is bad. I don't think that's the case, but regardless of whether the quality is intentional, they know that the product is bad and put it out anyway in support of their agenda. The more likely scenario here is that they don't care if the product is bad as long as it furthers their propaganda. The comments they make aren't specific enough to actually point to anyone, but rather apply fairly easily to anyone who dislikes the films they put out. They're being weasels in this regard because they're attempting to silence all criticism by claiming that whatever criticism there is is only levied against them due to some form of -ism or -phobia. So, if you dislike what they put out, they very non-specifically are applying a label on you whether it fits or not to make sure the zombies in their audience see it anyway, dismissing the negative reviews. And they do in droves because there are enough in the market to keep them afloat.
2
@italianspiderman5012 The industry is corrupt, hell our whole society has become corrupt. She's doing what the corruption bids her to do to get something out of it. If you decry her using the corruption to her advantage, then don't partake of any piece of entertainment ever again because otherwise you're a hypocrite.
2
@jdsartre9520 The better question would be, was his daughter even old enough to see a movie like this? Perhaps he should not have taken her with him at all.
2
Part of why I never played those games is because of how much I hate the escort missions in every game that uses them. Since the entirety of that first game was supposed to be an escort mission I said no to the whole thing. After reading the story for the second game I kind of felt vindicated in my belief that it would suck.
2
So it's a middling movie that you can enjoy if you dial down the ol' brain. I guess I just need the popcorn and a month or so until it hits every streaming platform and I can watch it for cheap.
2
So basically it's a rehash of the first movie. Just turn the knob on your brain-dial down a few notches, have some popcorn on hand and enjoy.
2
It would certainly be great to see smaller filmmakers consistently beat down the big budget studios, and especially to see them win the awards they deserve over the studios.
2
@whatsupinspace854 Ah yes, let's believe the information put out by terrorists which not only can't be confirmed but has in many instances been proven false. Palestinians can come and go as they please, and Hamas has proven that the wall doesn't stop them anyway. No, Israel is most definitely not oppressing them, and that's only in contention amongst morons and evil people that support terrorists.
2
NickReilly-iv6jg Sure, terrorist supporter.
2
Yeah, that was a pretty good movie. I don't know why so many disliked it.
2
@robotpanda77 That's YouTube for you. They want to censor everything and everyone who disagrees with their evil and self destructive world view.
2
Who do you think you are saying that, Natalie Portperson?
2
Completely underrated comment.
2
@AlexA-ko8lu I can't seem to respond without my post being deleted, but you're wrong and a bigot. DJT isn't on the right, but he has been useful.
