Was it a pet mouse or a wild one that you considered a pet and left crumbs out for?

This is why I still use KDE, customization. I'm constantly changing my keyboard shortcuts and if it were easier to do so I'd constantly change my color theme. I'm honestly thinking of making my own distro and going back to a really old version of KDE and stripping as much of the cruft to simplify it but add in some more configuration. I know, there's bug fixes and newer features that are needed for certain things, but I figure it'd be more fun to add those after the fact and get rid of bloat that's been added in the past 20 years. Who knows, maybe I could go in and fix the security flaws of X. And if a lot of things stopped working, maybe I'd just change the way things work in every aspect and write everything from scratch.

So do I.

As a Slackware user, I can understand the hate for FlatPaks, since I can't even get them working on my system. Ditto at Snaps. But why do you hate AppImages? Only requirement is Fuse and every one I've tried worked perfectly and just like native.

It's because it's more fun that way. Once everything is done and settled, what do you have to do?

@alexxx4434 Those more valuable problems tend to be boring though.

@matthewmoore757 Yeah, even GNOME was better back in the olden days. Although, then as now, I prefer KDE. It's got some decent eye candy, but most of my personal customizations are functionality based these days.
