  2. Okay, but why do you have a problem with stdout? Did it steal your /dev/random and give you predictable output?

  3.  @ecavero1  So if it sent it to stderr you wouldn't have liked to use it? I can understand that complaint, I hate having to redirect stderr for such programs, ffprobe being a prime example of such annoyance.
