@Winnetou17 You can download the full source code, all 1.8GB of it off of an excruciatingly slow server. As I understand it, everything needed to build the final application is in there. My question is on what qualifier should I apply when describing it. The definitions seem pointless to me, for a lot of reasons. Open but Non-Free seems like the terminology I want, but it seems no one can agree on what Open means.

Okay, the source code for Vivaldi is right there for me to read and download and even modify, therefore it's Open Source, but I can't repackage it, sell it, whatever, therefore it's not Free Software? Am I understanding that right?

@fgsaramago Incorrect, the entire interface is source viewable, and it's not just JavaScript that makes up the interface. They also use HTML and CSS. My question was never whether you could see the source code, but on how to define the terms.

@fgsaramago Read the blog post on their website, they "minified" the interface so that it's harder to read, ie. obfuscated, but you can still read it.

@fgsaramago No. Obfuscated is still visible. Go read ioccc dot org entries and brush up on your code skills.

@fgsaramago So "Their argument..." means that it is "your" argument? Interesting take.

@fgsaramago I'm assuming English isn't your native language, so I forgive you for not even understanding what you yourself wrote in English. You might even be using translation software. Unless of course you're sealioning me?
