  3. At this point I'm not sure we should call these programs text editors anymore. They are so much more than that. When I started programming, the OS I was using was Win98, and I used notepad back then. Even when I finally got VS6 I still used notepad from time to time, just for nostalgia's sake. Moved on from there to Crimson Editor, which is dead now. Then I found vim, and there was a build for Windows, so I used it. I'm still using it to this day because I haven't figured out how to quit! Just kidding, it's because it's awesome.
