Back when I was in school, there were very few kids at my school that were disrespectful. However, I grew up in a small town, and the stories I heard at the time about kids from the larger school districts were off-putting, to say the least. I'd say back then phones and not cell phones, very few even had cordless phones, were our social media. The school actually printed a booklet with everyone's phone number for a given grade and distributed it to every student in that grade. Something I doubt they still do and it seems like a security nightmare as well. What I'd like to know is how kids were before phones even existed. I would consider that as the true pre-social media days. Were kids as disrespectful as they are now and when I was in school, or were they better, or worse.

@bigpod Interesting, but what would actually cause students to be disrespectful in the first place? Like what sets them off? Home life? Peers? Maybe even the teachers themselves?
