  2. I prefer to think of KDE as doing things for you so you don't have to care. Maybe that's just because I'm lazy, but I love KDE.

  3. I don't even remember what my first DE experience was, it's been over 20 years now. But back then using Gnome was awful, Xfce was just too simple. I got hooked on KDE and have tried Gnome several times over the years and never liked it. I might go back and try Xfce because it wasn't offputting, just lacking in features, though I'd assume they've been added by now.

  4.  @MaxUgly  Interesting. I only have a few widgets in my task bar which I auto-hide and only ever look at if something is acting weird, so very very rarely. I've been a fan of KDE for over 20 years because of how easy it is to setup shortcut keys and the vast quantity they have. I've changed most of the defaults and added several dozen just for my own purposes, and I change some on a semi-regular basis as I change how I interact with things.
