  1. Personally, I think wasm is a huge disappointment. I'd rather see Java make a resurgence as a browser language over ever using wasm. Although, we should have a runtime like Java built into the browser and having multiple languages should be no problem. We just need a VM that is more open for usage and not actually the JVM. In fact, if the web browser was just a glorified renderer for some VM-based language, we'd be far better off.
