  1. Weird thought, but I wonder if anyone has tried to intentionally land under the surface of a planet. If they could find a patch of ground that's not solid rock, maybe a dart shaped probe could penetrate below the surface and dig into the ground to survive the nasty atmosphere and if it were nuclear powered it could keep going for years under the ground providing data without succumbing to sulfuric acid.

  2. It'd be kind of funny if we found a random mission from the Russians landed on Mars that wasn't even in the records and a monkey or a dog was inside a capsule.
