It's kind of insane how far compression technology has come. I still remember back in the 90's playing with a compression program written in QBasic that could cut your files in half and that was amazing back then, but now a video file can be reduced to a literal hundredth of its original size. The one inaccuracy in what Tom said was that it was lossless. Parts of the compression are, but the majority of it is lossy and information about the image data is lost. It's not as much as it used to be, but enough that multiple edits can lead to compression artifacts becoming more prominent than they otherwise would have been.

I love fab tour videos. I still hope that one day we can have consumer grade tech to fab at home like 3D printers have become ubiquitous, but for now these videos are great.

I feel like it should be illegal for them to prevent you from playing games on a device you bought, especially when those games are disc based, but even if they aren't, because if you've bought the console and the game, you should be free to use it. Whoever came up with the idea of e-fuses, will surely be going to heII.

@somedudeonyoutube998 It doesn't matter who it's for, unless they rent/lease them, once it's in your possession, you own it.

@oror3751 Did Microsoft give it to the developer who originally had it or did they rent/lease it to them? Do you even know? It doesn't even matter for the point I was making, and whether anyone at any point stole it, he did not, he bought it from someone. And no, I'm not saying that the same rules should apply if it was originally stolen, just that he didn't steal it.

@TheBroz If that's correct, then I'd advise no one to develop for such a system, ever. Though, I'm an idealist and the corporations that control all of this will always find people who can't make the idealistic choice or who are too greedy to have ideals.
