  1. I decided against it years ago when games for the OG XBox needed patches that could only be acquired through their online service and which without would be left in a broken state. One game I had just froze at a certain point and without the ability to connect to an external computer and with only dialup anyway, I couldn't acquire and apply the patch. I have never forgiven them for that idiocy and will never.
