The only positive thing I have to say about this trend, at least I hope it's a trend and not permanent, is that we have a lot of redundancy in open source software. It's because Git took over for version control and was so easy to use that it became almost commonplace for projects to be forked over and over and over and over again. So now, we have dozens of projects that if they disappear, hardly no one will notice because, oh look, another fork popped up. Godot started going woke, and look, we have Redot and a bunch of other forks and even some new projects and there's always still the ubiquitous Unreal. And three weeks-ish later, we have newfound hope that people are actually waking up to the fact that woke is corruption.
