  1. No disrespect to ESR, but I remember the term open source being prevalent before 1998. Ordinarily I wouldn't care but when someone tries to give credit to someone who doesn't deserve it because they've been infected with a leftist brainworm, I feel like someone needs to speak up. I've got some Linux distributions that are that old, I should look and see if there's some proof that they used that term in any of the pieces of documentation available. I suppose someone could look through .iso's on the internet archive too if they felt so inclined.
