That's silly. Everyone knows that the first computer bug was a lightning bug, sometimes referred to as a firefly. It took them so long to notice it because they thought the LED was blinking as it should and it was really a bug preventing them from knowing the machine wasn't working. Of course, LED's didn't exist when all this went down, so they were naturally confused about the whole process of debugging.
