  3. The universe doesn't revolve around the Sun or the Earth, so it doesn't matter if your equations use either as the center because neither will be technically correct. However, if you center your equations on the point you want to focus on, then it'll be easier than centering them on something trillions of light years away.

  5.  @jrstf  Okay, since you're failing to understand the overarching point I'll try to put it in more simple terms. If I'm constructing a building somewhere on planet Earth, I shouldn't consider how something going on at the center of the galaxy affects the building. It would be a waste of time to calculate the shift of the building based on the gravitational pull of Sagittarius A*, but the Earth itself would certainly be relevant. Focus on what matters, not something far enough away that not even your great grandchildren will see it.
