One of the problems I see with a lot of other devs, not me of course, is that they're unable, or possibly unwilling, to see things from other perspectives. I've had KDE crash on me at least 10 times in all the years I've been using it, so maybe that gives me an appreciation for not wanting a DE to crash, but even if it had been perfect I could still see why one wouldn't want a crash to kill your work. I don't know if I'm really different from anyone else, but I've found myself trying to understand others and how they think and I've found it can help if you just ask questions. I try not to assume, even if my assumptions are thus far correct 93% of the time, but it's hard not to ascribe malice when someone calls something a stupid idea and then tries to claim it's a common and inoffensive idiom.

But his reasoning for why it's a stupid idea was just wrong. If anything he would be the stupid one for not seeing merit in an idea that could save people time and effort as well as other farther reaching future benefits.

@GeorgeNoiseless Funny you should mention the A-word. I've been called that many times and fully admit I am an asshole.
