  1. This is one of those reasons why X will stick around for at least a decade more. Even if they fix it in 6 months to a year, there will be people who remember this issue 5 years from now who refuse to move to Wayland. Oh well, there's still time for them to kill all the bad publicity and fork the project and call it Y.

  3.  @softwave1662  Unfortunately, a lot of devs these days design things ideologically. So any changes to their design are an attack on them personally and they resist until they either realize they're wrong and just give in or they die. Hopefully it doesn't take a decade, but any amount of resistance here was a mistake from the start.

  4. Currently it's showing "just let apps set their position" for me. If that's what it is for you, I'm curious what you see grammatically wrong with it.
