@terrydaktyllus1320 It's a de facto standard because everyone else does it the right way.

Would explain a lot.

@negirno I don't know about configuring language inputs, but you could still use Gnome Disks with KDE, just keep it installed. KDE even makes it easy to setup a shortcut key to run any program. Just open up the System Settings, click on Shortcuts in the left panel, then click on Add Application and then Add Custom Shortcut.

@Kyuunex So very much this. Every Chromium based web browser scrolls at an unbearably slow speed. That and Google being evil are the two biggest reasons I refuse to use Chromium for anything other than testing.

@terrydaktyllus1320 I wrote a shell function to only show relevant volumes and with human readable numbers. That and du are two of my most frequently used programs.

@thechugg4372 The command line is often faster, but it requires you to learn how to use it. It's understandable that most don't want to put in the effort.

@blaser80 That's what they always say, until 20 years later they correct it and piss off all the users that depended on that bug as though it really were a feature. :P

@xslvrxslwt Maybe I'm crazy, but a lot of the design for Win32 I actually liked better than GTK and Qt. It was only when they tried to extend it with garbage *Ex() functions that it really broke down, and now Win32 is deprecated anyway. I'd love to see a convergence of GTK and Win32 as a new API.

@terrydaktyllus1320 I haven't since WinXP. The user authentication garbage that requires it phoning home got me.

You don't name the screenshots each time?

I've seen that bug in so many places I'm starting to think something is cursed.

@itsthem5699 Sadly it's a plausible conspiracy theory. Let's hope you're wrong.

Probably unrelated, but have you ever used kdirstat or what it became qdirstat? TreeMaps are pretty cool for visualizing files.
