@kpcraftster6580 I don't get the rating on OTB, he should be A for sure. But I agree with not listing Gardiner, he's supposedly a gamer first and he doesn't even do that anymore.

I personally think that Slackware is the perfect pre-built distro. I've done relatively little to change the system and most of what I've done is just basic customization. I think everyone should give it a proper try at least once, but maybe I'm being a zealot, don't know.

@terrydaktyllus1320 15 is where they finally decided to default to 64-bit, might not work without setting boot flags.

My thoughts are that videos should be labelled properly. Label it a quick dive or whatever term you want if it's not a full review. Might also be nice if when someone does a review they get help from a newbie to make two sets of reviews, one that gives quick info for experienced users and one that delves into the pitfalls for the less experienced. Then you could select the video that's relevant. Of course I understand most aren't going to want to take the time, but if you do it full time you really should. Personally, I skip videos that have titles/thumbnails which make them seem irrelevant to me, because I've got a limited amount of time to watch and I've got several hundred channels I'm subbed to.

@terrydaktyllus1320 I think he's referring to the commonly quoted figure of 1000 hours to become an expert in something.

@dreamcat4 Those aren't the only three packaging systems that people use though, and if we're talking .rpm and .deb those formats didn't even originate with Fedora and Ubuntu. I don't know if Arch's package manager originated with it or not, but if you're only going to refer to distros by popularity, I'd wager more use Arch forks than Arch itself.

Usually because the new user is comfortable and thinks that equates to understanding. So they tweak something they shouldn't.
