  1. I have never called it gnu slash linux and never will. The kernel is the most vital component and common amongst a lot of distros, so I just call it Linux, or if telling people the specific distro, Slackware. Although, when I tell people the distro, hardly anyone knows what it is these days, so I'll just say, it's Linux-based.
