This is a highly clickbait title. While the dictionary definition of proprietary technically fits, the implication, and you know it is implied because that's what people will assume is meant, is that it'll be closed source and/or that he'll charge money for it, neither of which is the case. The fact of the matter is, he was sick of people removing copyright notices from builds they put into proprietary products. No one seemed to care that the person responsible for writing the software wasn't being credited and that's the least they could do if they're going to sell it. Although, I'd love to see any of you assholes that are whining about his decision actually fucking try to write your own emulator.
