  1. I don't think it matters how many there are, we just need better articles that recommend only the top 5 or 10. I personally recommend Mint to newbies, but that's not based on actual use, only what I've found when researching. So it may be a bad recommendation and I wouldn't know, but I figure since it's Debian based that it should be easy to use and work well. If someone is up for more of a challenge I might recommend the one I use, which is Slackware. Although, these days it's super easy to use and if you don't tinker it just works. I also find it funny that you mention Jessie since I'm actually still using a Jessie based distro with my Pi3. Haven't upgraded it since I first installed it and I mostly just use my Pi4 now which has a Buster based distro on it. Found a flash drive the other day that had the original install image for the Pi3. Is there a term for moving based nostalgia? I keep finding things that I haven't looked at in years.
