  3.  @terrydaktyllus1320  Then either change it, since you have access to the source, or use a pre-built binary. Personally, I'd take it as a challenge to rewrite whatever library functions they use and optimize them for my platform, but in either C or assembly.

  4.  @terrydaktyllus1320  So it's not just that they've optimized the library using SSE2, but that the compiler generates code when optimizing your program? That's a much more difficult chunk to replace, but still doable. Surely they had code generators that didn't use SSE2 earlier on. Although, if it doesn't generate those instructions if you turn optimization off then it would be workable.

  5. Only calendar app I use is cal, if I need to schedule something I use a dead tree stuck to the fridge.
