  1.  @terrydaktyllus1320  For me, I try to gently advocate for people to use an OS that respects their freedom and privacy. I do it so subtly that it often gets ignored. However, I did manage to convince my parents since all they do is covered 100% by Linux. Mostly they just use a word processor, spreadsheet program, PDF viewer and a web browser. Hopefully the intransigence of others won't affect me, but I can't always predict what the future will hold.

  2. I hardly ever update, and I'm still on Slackware 14.2 even though 15 already released. I wouldn't mind having them be automatic, as long as the update in question doesn't require rebooting or restarting something I'm actively using, but I also compile a vast quantity of the software I use, so updates for those things wouldn't work.

  3. @@Ishaq-hm2iy I'm pretty sure Lua already was since I never had to manually install it myself. I can't remember for certain, but I think node was too. Eventually I'll upgrade, it's just not too high priority right now.
