  1. I dual booted in the Win98 days, and had no problems then, but I've been Linux only for quite a while now. The last Windows I actually used on any basis, and this was just to test the waters, was WinXP, which lasted for maybe a couple of months before I wiped it off of that disk. Only thing I found there that was worth anything was that pinball game, and due to WINE I can play it without even installing Windows in a VM, so I'm happy. I also use legacy BIOS because I agree about UEFI. It's garbage and I wish an open BIOS chip would take over and replace the proprietary chips.

  2. Your whiteboard comment reminds me of the old adage of the three rings of marriage. You have the engagement ring, the wedding ring, and of course the suffering. It's not true for everyone, but for those it is true for they'll get it.
