  2. I prefer when the default is to not delete, and every .bashrc I've ever had started with alias rm='rm -i' amongst others. I don't tend to use third party scripts without checking them first, but you can't live in a bubble. At some point you just need to get out there and do things and knowing how to fix them is better than attempting to prevent them playing whack-a-mole.

  3.  @billeterk  That's why bash is so great. Just type the alias in for whatever system doesn't have it, if you can't edit .bashrc anyway. Although I've not had remote permissions on a system that didn't also let me edit the configuration file too, but that still doesn't account for its use in scripts. Unless you explicitly source .bashrc or some other file, scripts will be full danger.

  4.  @isofruitfruit9357  I need no help, whether it be writing it in assembly or C or C++ or whatever language I'm being paid to write something in that week. It's the people who don't understand how their computer works that need the help.
