  2. As a longtime Slackware user, I would recommend Fedora or Mint for a new user.

  3.  @chlorobyte_projects  Also, configuring it to not destroy your privacy and to have all the apps that you want to use takes more time and effort than most Linux distros require of you. Any {Debian,Red Hat,Arch} based distro will be objectively easier than Windows when it comes to getting all the apps you want.
