Agreed. The government needs to file an antitrust suit against them, if they have the balls.

I also have several zip drives, including one that's in an internal 5.25" drive bay. For that matter I've got a bunch of zip disks that are encrypted and no memory of what the password is for any of them.

You didn't have any 250mb disks? And the key to having a successful disc burn was to set the speed to lower than what the disc packaging claimed it was rated for. Every 16x disc I still burned at 8x and 4x speed. Some were so finicky they'd only work at 1x.

It was basically an extra thick floppy disk that could store 100-ish times the data of a floppy disk, or 250-ish if you had the larger size disks. If you ask me what a floppy disk is I'm going to feel really old.

@MNbenMN People like us had CD and DVD burning drives, but most normal people didn't have such drives in their computer, just read only drives. I still have a 32MB and a 128MB flash drive sitting in a drawer from back in my Win98 days. They were popular with normal people before they got to a truly useful size.
