  3. What's really funny about that is that I use ImageMagick semi-regularly to convert .webp back to something usable. I will never understand why websites keep converting their images between formats for web use instead of retaining the original and maintaining the best image quality. If the camera didn't create .webp on first taking the photo, then it'll never be the highest quality and not everything can properly handle them. Plus the usual rant about Google abandoning projects.

  4.  @1vader  If the file didn't originate in that format then conversion will degrade quality. Over enough format wars you'll notice that degradation. Everyone should've just stuck with lossless and made sure to stick with it. Yeah, .webp can do lossless, but default settings and stupid people exist to screw us.
