  1. Yeah, but it's not so much about fixing x11 issues, since those barely exist at this point, but missing features. Some people would rather not lack features they've been using for decades and maybe not get them at all back. But this is why KDE usage will go up. It's always been the better DE anyway.

  2. True, and you could always just stick with the older versions and not update too. I'm extremely bad about doing that with pretty much all software.

  3. I like to think it's two-fold. One the people that work on GNOME suck, but two KDE is just the better desktop environment.

  4. I'd wager most reading the comments don't care about KDE, but hopefully we can all agree that it's a better desktop than GNOME, and as a lifelong lazy person and long-term user of KDE, I will continue to advocate for it over anything else.
