  2. Up until about 10 years ago I only had dialup and when I finally got "broadband" it was excruciatingly slow DSL. It wasn't until just before I was finally able to get cable that the DSL was pushed up to about 300kb/s, which while significantly better than dialup was still far too slow for my liking. Now I get 25mb/s download and it takes minutes to download an ISO. When I first got started in Linux, I had to download everything at my brother's apartment where he had cable. I kind of still live in BFO, but not as much as I had 20 years ago when I had one neighbor, now I've got one on every side and then some.
