  1. I only reboot when the power goes out for longer than the UPS can handle, but this is great advice for the possibility of an update messing up the system, especially grub. I've got multiple live CD's and USB drives sitting around for just such a possibility.

  2.  @Alexbl100  Yes, yes they do. Especially with the advent of so many user friendly distros. It would be nice though if such things didn't happen in the first place to need fixing, but yeah, I wish everyone would be more computer literate, even Windows users should know more about computers than they do, but our society seems to be getting worse in that regard.

  3. I love the throwing of shade, as the kids say, onto Linus of LTT. I like the guy, but he deserves ribbing for his lack of knowledge of Linux. I mean come on, his name is even Linus like the creator of the Linux kernel. :P
