  1. I hope in that video you're doing you talk about RCS. Granted it wasn't for whole repositories, it was kind of the basis for CVS and it was highly popular back when I got started. Just about every open source project I downloaded back then had those RCS strings and I kind of miss seeing them on current projects. Although, it is nice that Git just gets out of the way and is largely invisible.
