  1. In 25-ish years of using it, I've had it happen maybe three times. Although, at least two of those were because I was doing something weird. Of course I didn't lose any data, because I save frequently, but it was annoying.

  2.  @UKprl  Although you don't have to use hibernate to save power and state. You could use "mem" for /sys/power/state and it would maintain the bare minimum power to just keep the RAM going. Comes up a lot faster that way too.
