  2. Somehow a Rob Landley talk wound up in my recommendations yesterday. In it he setup a minimal Linux system from scratch. Used BusyBox and even built the kernel from source. Yes, all while giving the talk. He got it to boot to a shell that simply displayed hello world and sleep()'d for 99999999999. Thank God I watch everything at 1.75x, but he's inspired me to actually try LFS, especially given that he used qemu to get it running. Gave some really good tips for things to watch out for. Made a good case for static linking, something I've always been a fan of, considering all the dependency heII I've had over the years.
