  2. In this day and age, I consider it a bug to not have a dark mode. I've always set my colors, no matter what operating system I was using, to be darkly themed. Even in the Win98 days when I had custom red, green and blue themes depending on mood, they were still very dark. One of these days I'll have to resurrect one of those themes, though I don't know how to convert them for KDE.

  3. I would consider such an app broken. If you use the standard methods of displaying a GUI, then whatever colors are set by the end user shouldn't interfere. Anything else is bad design. This is why I often hate on my fellow developers because as lazy as I am, I at least try to provide a portable and usable interface. It's the most important part of the app after actually working correctly.
