  1. We absolutely should expect large corporations to take licensing seriously, and we should ourselves as well. However, in the past Microsoft violated the GPL and had zero repercussions. Their code generator thing on GitHub may well violate it as well, but IANAL and the laws may not agree and even if they did no prosecutor would take up that case.
