Since no one will see or read this anyway I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that he was merely failing to articulate some point about sane defaults and easy customization without looking up some tutorial and/or editing a text file somewhere. It did used to be easier on Linux, as it did on Windows. Back when I was on Win98, I had a different color theme for each mood, a rich dark red, green, blue and even yellow theme. Had a full icon set and sound set, complete with flushing toilet for emptying the trash bin. Now, it's either download something someone else did and modify a text file to change it, or do a whole lot of the latter from scratch. I guess it's just another old man yells at cloud argument, but whatever. Now I'll just wait for some weird rando who just has to read every single comment to respond in 4 months with a message that says "here's 20 point and click theme editors".
