Not that you'll even see this now a week late, but I would say it's a problem from at least three directions. 1) The virus scanners shouldn't be alerting to a system program, even if it has a CVE. 2) Since Windows is closed source it has no provisions for building something yourself and validating it so that it won't affect updates, even if it's a clean build that eliminates a CVE using a clean patch. 3) Because it doesn't allow you to update any individual components manually, it breaks your ownership of your own device.
