@ADUAquascaping Yeah, I do. It's just a neural network algorithm. Sophisticated, sure, but it's never going to emerge. It's not even really how brains work.

@chowjappa6470 No, I'm a realist who sees the intelligence level of those working on it and the way they're going about it and know that you can't get from A to Z that way. Though, truthfully, we don't need truly sentient AI and shouldn't be aiming for such a thing anyway, especially in a disembodied box.

@chowjappa6470 For most things that is absolutely true, but for true AI, you need a lot of resources. You could make an attempt at it without any funding, but you won't achieve anything without the hardware to back it up. Once the hardware to get there is cheap enough, it might be possible, but not the way society is going. The average intelligence of everyone keeps going down. If Biden gets reelected, I'm going to lose all faith in humanity.
