  1. Yes, this! I've got one of each and the insulated maker brews a hotter pot and using the insulated carafe keeps it warmer for longer. The insulated maker doesn't use a vacuum or do any kind of inert gas back filling, so it won't stay hot, but it does lead to a hotter pot right off the bat because it doesn't leak the heat out of the container so easily.

  3.  @mikkowilson2  I love this idea. It would be awesome to set every outlet in a given room that way to just turn everything on or off at the door. And even if you only did it at one outlet, still a really cool idea to be able to decide which.

  4. Since I was eating a bag of chips I decided to turn on captions while watching this and was very pleasantly surprised by how good they are. Now I'm thinking of turning them on every time, even when I'm not eating crunchy food.

  12.    You should make a habit of washing it out each morning. In fact, if you fill it with hot water before you brew the coffee, when you empty that and immediately pour the coffee in, it'll keep the coffee hotter for longer.
