  1. I've read that purple is the best color choice for the birds, but yes, it seems that not painting them the color of clouds makes them more noticable to birds. It seems obvious in hindsight, really.

  2. Non-white paint seems to solve the problem for birds. Maybe a whistle mechanism above the range of human hearing attached to the blades would help bats?
