Riddle for you: Why do capitalists knowingly hire undocumented workers while pushing for punitive policies against said workers and a wall (which would increase the number of said workers in the country) instead of not using them and pushing for punitive policies towards the companies that do (which would hurt their competitors)? Answer: Because the more desperate and afraid said workers are, the shittier working conditions and wages they will put up with put of fear of being reported.
