  1.  @Gmex_ONE  cognitive dissonance is easy. Humans do it all the time as a mental shortcut. Thinking about things at more than a superficial level and working to correct one's own cognitive dissonance is what takes mental effort...especially when one's constantly being gaslit by people like you.
