  1. Joe pretends to be a lot more moderate than he is to try and act as a gateway. Joe is actually a far right bigot. That's why he bahaves the way he does, and why fracking reactionaries need to walk him back to a more moderate position when he starts getting too into the bigotry with them.

  2.  @TJay-et3iu  considering they can be legally fired in many places for a part of their identity they can't change (so say nothing of the violence and suicide rates), I believe the most appropriate response to you putting emphasis on people loosing their jobs for choosing to promote bigotry against them is uh, go fuck yourself.

  4. I really don't think Joe actually doesn't understand. Joe is actually pretending to be way more moderate than he is and is a bigot himself, which is why he laughs at jokes that exist to push bigotry.

Yeah, the subtle ways reactionaries are promoting violence while maintaining plausible deniability is a really big problem, but at the same time, history shows that when push comes to shove, capital tends to me more opposed to anything left-wing than fascism, so letting a mega-corp control discourse (especially under the pretense of being advertiser friendly) runs a real danger of them suppressing all left-wing content more than reactionaries, as long as they aren't too overy about it...and history shows that when capitalism is in crisis, and left wing voices are silenced, you get fascism. There is a really interesting conversation there, but even if Jimmy were able to set his emotions aside (which when can he?), he's nowhere near smart enough for that conversation. Kyle and Sam might be up for it and it could be really interesting if they bring their A game and keep their heads.

I have occasionally watched him in the past (less so in the last year+), because he sometimes stumbles into things that are interesting enough for me to do research on that aren't part of the main discussions, but when he comes to the right positions, it's mostly from flailing around, so he's completely unreliable and no-one should be taking him at face value on anything, no matter how sincere he is being.
